Jane Halliday
Violin
Violinist, Jane Halliday, is a versatile musician with extensive performance experience in a variety of musical genres. She has a B.M. in music performance and an M.A. in Humanities & Civic Leadership, both from the University of Louisville, as well as a B.A. in English from Smith College. As a classical musician, she performs solo work and plays with chamber and orchestral ensembles throughout the region. She also plays for traveling productions of Broadway shows and concerts by visiting nationsl artists (see her solo with Stevie Wonder). She is a founding member of the Carnegie Quartet and records with her singer-songwriter sister, Marion Halliday. She is on the faculty at Bellarmine University where she teaches violin and coaches ensembles. You can hear more of Jane's music on YouTube.


Louie Hehman
Piano & Accordion
Louie Hehman is a Kentucky-born pianist and educator who specializes in both jazz and classical styles. He earned his DMA at the University of South Carolina and is currently assistant professor of music at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. He has presented at the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy (NCKP); the MTNA National Conferences; and the Kentucky, Indiana, and South Carolina Music Teachers Association state conferences. In 2018, Louie studied in Vienna under acclaimed Schubert interpreter Hafez Babashahi and in 2019 served as Chair of the Young Jury for the Arthur Frasier International Piano Competition. He currently spends his Summers teaching at the Interlochen Arts Academy.
Joe Watts
Guitar
Joe Watts is a musician and music teacher in Louisville, Kentucky. Joe began learning the guitar from his father at age 13, and studied both jazz and classical guitar.at Bellarmine University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Music Technology. He has appeared on recordings including The Afrophysicists' 2020 album High Crimes and In Lightning’s 2016 release In Joy, which received a Louisville Music Award in the Jazz/Avant Garde category. In addition to maintaining a busy teaching studio, currently Joe performs on a regular basis with bluegrass group The Song Sparrows, and South American dance & folk ensemble Yapa, winners of the Best Tropical Artist in the 2022 Latin Music Awards Kentucky.


Jason Sturgill
Bass & Guitar
As a youth growing up in Eastern Kentucky, bassist, Jason Sturgill, was initially drawn to punk rock. That interest inspired him to attend Eastern Kentucky University to pursue a degree in music business. While in school, he studied upright bass with Mark Chambers and Joe Tackett and expanded his musical passions to include both classical music and jazz. Today he works as a multi-instrumentalist in and around the Louisville area in a wide variety of musical settings. In addition to performing regularly with jazz groups such as Jane’s Jazz Addiction, Jason also plays with the psych-blues trio “Yezzer” and the soul-funk band “Insatiable Digs”.
